I was not able to recover any of these pics.

Mary Elizabeth McGriff (third from left) was the daughter of Thomas McGriff and Sarah Beasley and granddaughter of Capt. James McGriff. She is pictured here with her husband, James K. Dobbins and her granddaughters Cora and Carrie Wooley.

William Henry McGriff family picture was contributed by Eula Mae McGriff Martin, descendent of Capt. James McGriff.

"Patrick Augustus McGriff was born November 6, 1826. His father was William McGriff and his grandfather was Colonel Patrick McGriff. He married Mary Harvin and when she died he married her sister Susan Harvin. Patrick died in an accident in December 26, 1877."

This photo was contributed by William H. Williams.

This picture of Major Patrick Augustus McGriff hangs in the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Museum in Kennesaw, Georgia. Major McGriff served in the 12th Regiment, Georgia State Militia and also the 11th Regiment, Georgia Calvary.

The inscription above his picture in the museum reads, "Major Patrick A. McGriff, 12th Regiment, Georgia Militia, is a wealthy planter, one of thousands of militiamen Governor Brown calls to arms in May 1864. A month later, McGriff writes, "I never had any idea of the horrors of this war before."
